The first book set up the rage that Joshua feels when Tamara defies him. She starts out as an innocent girl who can't understand why she was abducted and held prisoner in his home. She defies him at every opportunity but is viciously punished by Joshua as a result. Yet, after being punished he comforts her and brings her to a newfound sexual awaking. However she is still a captive and denied any chance of ever leaving his house.Unwilling to accept a life time of imprisonment, despite her mixed feelings for Joshua, she is determined to escape. When fate intervenes and she escapes she is captured by Micah, his brother and used as an by Micah to avenge himself against his brother. Joshua spends every waking intent on rescuing her.
He succeeds but sends her away when his nightmares endanger her life. But by this times a deep love has developed between them and neither can survive emotionally without the other. In the end there is an HEA ending when a chance for a somewhat normal family life allows their love to endure.
There is torture and deep sorrow in their lives so parts of the two books can be difficult to read but it is so well written that I felt compelled keep reading well into the night and then lay awake musing on what would happen next. I would recommend this book to and one who enjoys a very moving story and don't give up at the end of the first book. The best is yet to come.

The Trials of Tamara Blue Eyed Monsters Book 2 edition by Ginger Talbot Romance eBooks Reviews
This was the second book in the series and was so worth the wait. Loved the fight of these characters and the added characters as well. What a great ending. Can't wait to read more from Ginger Talbot.
I enjoyed his book better than the first one. Especially after the 35% point. A little bit of a weird turn of events. I will most likely read the third book. I didn’t enjoy this series as much as her 30 Days series but it was good.
The book starts off really slow and so repetitive and then I’m 70% done and we go into hyper speed with everything happening so fart. I’m still a fan of the book. Not great but whatever
I was skeptical when I started reading Tamara Taken, it was so dark but yet it was captivating at the same time. I read it and was on the edge of my seat waiting for The Trials of Tamara to be released. It was worth the wait. Joshua and Tamara's story is one I won't soon forget. So many twist and turns. I couldn't predict where the characters were going and I was completely enthralled in this story. I stayed up all night reading it. Ginger Talbot you are brilliant!!!!
Loved the first book gave it three stars ..but this earned two as I hated the ending...especially the part with her in a mental hospital..and he busting her out and they live happily ever after!!! I can see the part with her getting pregnant..like it ..but everything else with the ending was wrong ..worth the price though !! Good read
Warning, this book is dark, has many triggers, is not for the lighthearted. You will also need to read the first half of this duet in order to understand what is going on.
This was incredibly intense, with a lot of things going on in this one. The "relationship" between Tamara and Joshua comes crashing down just to come rushing back up again. Micah makes his appearance unforgettable. Joshua loses his mind for a while.
There is some twists and turns and surprises at the end I had not seen coming. There were hints and if i wasn't so caught up in everything going on I would of caught on quicker! The epilogue was sweet....well as sweet as it can be with two crazy people in love.
I really enjoyed the first book of this series, but I found this next edition to be rushed and not as intense as the first one. There were scenes that I think tried to capture what Taken (book 1) had going for it, but I just couldn't get into it as much as the previous novel. That being said, I don't regret buying it because it gave me closure to the series which I needed as I had loved the first book. The story line in the book was a bit repetitive where we find Tamara the centre of traumatic scenes, but with Joshua as more the hero (albeit one that is spinning out of control for a lot of the book). I understand why Joshua came across as less confident and unsure of himself and his ability to protect and keep Tamara in this book, but I found it hard to rationalise this with the strong, tyrannical character he played in the first book. Tamara was indecisive and continued a bit too long with the I love him but hate to love him bit. The events and change in characters seemed to be pushed into finishing the book series, rather than complementing the first book. I was happy it concluded satisfactorily so I can move on )
